Capabilities

Ten services,
four disciplines

Each service can be ordered on its own. They are worth more combined — and you decide how much of the chain you hand over.

Electrical

Design, cabinets, installation

Electrical design

Schematics in SEE Electrical Expert, redrawing of handwritten or foreign documentation, surveys of existing cabinets, bills of material, terminal plans and wiring books. Our reference standard is IEC 60204-1.

Cabinets and enclosures

From a single backplate to a multi-cell cabinet, in painted steel or stainless steel. Full wire marking, and pre-delivery testing: protective bonding continuity, insulation resistance, circuit check folio by folio.

Installation and troubleshooting

Cable trays, pulling and marking, connection of valves, pumps, drives, probes and sensors, pneumatic connection, commissioning. And diagnosis on installations we did not build.

Mechanical

Design and manufacturing

Mechanical design

Needs analysis, 3D modelling, sizing and strength calculations, material selection, compliance built in from the drawing rather than bolted on afterwards, prototyping.

Manufacturing and assembly

Laser cutting, welding, machining and 3D printing. Assembly to drawings, dimensional checks as we go, and mechanical function verified before the electrical work starts.

Automation

PLC, robots, industrial IT

PLC programming

Functional analysis, sequences specified as GRAFCET to NF EN 60848, program development, offline simulation and commissioning. Sequential programs, never combinatorial logic — see below.

Robotic cells

Robot and cobot integration, custom gripping, trajectory simulation, handling of edge cases, commissioning and operator training. ABB, Fanuc, Kuka, Yaskawa, Stäubli, Universal Robots.

Industrial IT

Supervision, custom PC software, data acquisition, recipe management, industrial networks and interfacing with your business systems. Some machines need no PLC at all.

Sequences, not combinatorial logic. This is the technical choice with the greatest consequences over the life of a machine, and the one least discussed.

A combinatorial program stacks conditions as needs arise: an output driven by an equation, corrected by an interlock, patched with an exception. It works. But nobody can say what state the machine is in, nor prove that a case was not forgotten.

A sequential program has one state per step. At any moment the machine sits in an identified step and leaves it through an explicit transition. A fault is located at the step where it occurs instead of being hunted through a stack of conditions — and another supplier, or your own team, can pick the program up. A combinatorial program is not picked up: it is rewritten. That is what makes a client captive without anyone deciding it.

Vision

Inspection and test benches

Machine vision

Quality inspection, robot guidance, code reading, 3D bin picking. What makes a vision application reliable is the lighting and the handling of edge cases, not the sensor resolution.

Test benches

From simple unit testing to instrumented multi-axis rigs: force-controlled actuation, fast multi-channel acquisition, gravimetric measurement, test recipes and unattended endurance runs.

One point we are firm about. An inspection camera is not a safety device. Protecting people is done with components certified for that purpose, such as safety light curtains.

Standards

What we hold ourselves to

These are obligations, not selling points — and they are no more negotiable than the rest.

Machinery Directive

Risk assessment and declaration of conformity for any equipment placed on the market or substantially modified.

IEC 60204-1

Electrical equipment of machines: isolation, protective bonding, stop categories, actuator and indicator colours, conductor identification, pre-commissioning verification.

NF EN 60848

GRAFCET specification language. A sequence chart that does not conform to it is just a drawing.

Functional safety

Required performance level determined for each safety function, and demonstrated to be achieved.

Electromagnetic compatibility

Power and signal routes physically separated, shielding and bonding handled at design stage. An installation that ignores EMC produces intermittent faults — the most expensive kind to diagnose.

ATEX where the zone requires it

Zone analysis, equipment selection and treatment of the corresponding safety functions.
